Fun in the Cat skills

On Thursday I noticed a white nest in one of our trees. On Friday I thought it was an owl. Once it started to meow I thought it just might be something else.
The cat was in a tree over 100 ft high in our backyard and seemed to be stuck. We called the state trooper, fire company (they were a little busy, see the listing below) and 911. No one could help us. If one more person told us," Hey you've never seen a cat skeleton in a tree" we would have screamed. We put food under the tree, but the little guy wouldn't budge.She just swayed in the tree with the breeze and meowed.Neighbors kept coming by to see our friend.
In the long shot you can just see a small black dot in the middle of the tree near the top.That's the cat. Finally on Monday it started to rain and our visitor made her way down. Later I saw her under Toni's car. Hopefully she will stay out of our trees. I can't deal with this stress.

Wurtsboro Forest Fire

There was a Forest fire on the ridge overlooking Wurtsboro this weekend. It started by the airport and spread over to the other side of the mountain. 400 acres were burnt and 21 fire companies fought the fire. The fire started Saturday afternoon was under control by 8:00 PM Sunday night

Happy Birthday To Me!

The thing that I love about birthdays is hearing from friends & family.I received so many cards, emails and phone calls. It's the best thing about birthdays.I am most grateful for the gift of my wife & parents, whose love fill me every day and the friends who are very special to me. It makes getting a year older a lot easier.
